im installing an a clean asus p5e3 motherboard.

i plug in the power to both slots (1200w psu)
i plug in my video card (280 gtx)
i plug in my ram (ocz reaper 2x2gb)
all fans are in heatsink is good
my processor is a core 2 quad

i start it up and plug in the monitor and i get nothing any idea why?

ive checked the manuals a number of times to see if i have personally done anything wrong and i cant find a thing.

Are you plugging your monitor into the right port? If you are using a vga (aka d-sub) plug, you will need an adaptor. There are two side by side. They are white in color. If you are using the blue plug on the computer, it is the worng one.

there is no vga or dvi slot in the i/o section of this board so im just plugging it into my video card

ok. Your card may be lose. I don't know what else. It could be any number of things. Something could be DOA.

can you post a picture of how you have your monitor plugged in right now? it'll help make it easier to troubleshoot you problem :)

does your fans spin when you press the power button?

i think the GTX 280 requires 2 8pin PCI-E connector, did you plug them both in?
Try reseating the RAM, or take one out, or try different slots.
Try a different graphics card?
Reset the Cmos?

yes ive got all of the power input needed
i tried that in all slots
and i tried my 8600 gts and its still not working
