Default Need some help choosing new moniter. 17'' or 19'', analog or ultrasharp?

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/c...tegory_id=4058

Well.. I have this 25% off of a new dell moniter. And I really cant spend too much. So im wonding, what moniter too get. I mean, you all thing an ultra sharp is worth it, or do you think I could live with out it. I mean like 17'' ultra sharp, or 19'' analog.

I really need to research this more. And I will be doing so. Although, I would like your input as to what you like of the selection. Please help!

EDIT>

Im really liking this one.

But thats the MAX price I could do. And remember its 25% off that price.

And it comes out to like 254.00 USD

UltraSharp is Dell's best in terms of sharpness and quality. So it really comes down to this question: Are you willing to sacrifice performance for size? I'm sure analog will be okay too, but it really depends if you want the bigger size or not.

Well, im using my moms Inspiron 6000 laptop now. Its got the 15.4 inch widescreen on it. Its nice, analog too. But, I think I can swing that price. Or would it do anything to save a bit of cash and get like an Analog. I mean, I really want a crisp, clear moniter. Im just not sure if the Unltra sharp is going to live up to what I want. I mean.. Do you think the difference between analog, and ultrasharp is worth the cash. And, ive pretty much decided that I want the 19''. So now I guess what it comes down to, is the Ultrasharp worth it. I mean 8ms response time. So I think its pretty damn nice... What do you think?

i would say the 17" ultrasharp one.....i have a 15" LCD and it seems plenty big enough, so i think getting a ultrasharp 17" would be better than a 19" regular monitor.

You think that a 19'' would be too big?

Haha, if you think 15" is big, wait until you go bigger! I used to use this old Sony Trinitron CRT 17" monitor, then I bought a new Sceptre X20G-NagaIII 20.1" Widescreen monitor and now I can never go back to anything smaller.

i think so...unless you have a large desk where you could sit far enough back from it,,,,i have a small desk and sit pretty close to this 15" and sometimes even it seems pretty big.

God alvino.. I swear *smacks head*

Anyways.. Lol..

Well, 15 is to small. And the 17 im using now in my room, is so-so. Although, bigger has always seemed better. When I go back onto my computer, ill kinda scope it out and see. But i think the 19 would be perfect

19" is pretty nice. Get it then. Does it support DVI? DVI gives you better and sharper images than VGA does.
