Need some help

Hello to one and all...

I am looking for a diagnostic tool, to run on my laptop, to seen why it is running so slowly, and to also see what is causing it. any help would be appreciated..

I have ZoneAlarm Security suite, and ad-aware SE

Please help me if you could. I need to add to my knowledge of computers, as it is not the greatest at this time.

your best bet is to defrag the hdd, run spybot s & d http://www.spybot.info , remove some startup items (go to start>run>type "msconfig" and click on the "startup" tab and remove some programs you dont want to load at startup and to download a decent disk cleaner such as http://www.diskcleaner.nl/ which will remove a lot of crap. this should remove some crap from your pc. then we can work from there

Make sure you update the last 2 BEFORE you run them.

Oh and defrag the drive.

If you have already defragged you computer, deleted all your cookies. checked your recycle bin and its still running slow it could be you have alot of gig space used on your hdd, check how much your using. do you store big files like raw photos or films.
You could try registry repair pograms to see if you have errors, registry repair pro is a good one.

you could also re format. once in a while is a much needed thing
