1.Click on Start.
2.Hit Run.
3.Type in Msconfig.
4.Click ONLY on the tab called START UP.
5.Disable any thing that you DONT need running clicking on the check box this will disable the start up item.
Note( I unchecked every thing except Zone Alarm And AVG Anti-Virus)
6.When you are done here click apply and then ok

Manager.jpg

Got screenshot of it, what should I actually keep here,
and what is junk?
And how do I get rid of the stuff that is junk?
Msconfig?

I've just been reading up on this thread... interesting. all of your processes seem normal to me, but I'm no expert either. I don't see msconfig in your list, but i don't think it should be running anway. msconfig is a windows app.

Get rid of ccapp.exe, ccproxy.exe, and ccsetmgr.exe
Shitty norton processes that really slow you down.
Also get rid of rtvscan.exe
Its some symantec thing- not important.

Also, I don't want to be that guy, but if that isn't IE7 I suggest a new browser.

Well, I had it set to the old skin at the time, so it doesn't look like IE7, but is is. Sorry for the confusion
