Okay, so.. I'm having some serious problems here.
I don't know everything about computers, but I have a good enough idea that I could understand most of your advice.
But, down to business.
I have a custom built computer, and I really don't know why it's performing the way it is.
I mostly play games on it.. such as,
CS:Source,
WoW,
Warcraft3,
And even recently installed Diablo 2 for giggles.
Now, WoW runs great, Warcraft 3 runs decent, Source lags up all the time, and even Diablo 2 lags like crazy.
Specs:

Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz
Nvidea 7800 GS Superclocked Video Card
1.5 Gb of RAM
320 Gb Seagate Baraccuda Hard Drive
and some random motherboard I don't really know what it is.

Any idea's why even an old game like Diablo is lagging back on my comp?
I have a few Antivirus programs, even spyware sweeper,
I've cleaned all my temp internet files, cookies and everything.
But I'm really starting to get irritated about it.
Anybody know what's going on?
Please PLEASE help me

Yup, Like.. Diablo 2, I'm running highest resolution, and other than that..
I can't really change much.
But seeing as I can run all my other games at high resolutions,
Why is 800x whatever such a problem?

are you using the most recent drivers for your video card?
Have you noticed any reduction doing basic tasks?
Are you getting the same download speeds on the internet that you used to?
Are you on a router or directly into the internet connection?
Have you checked for Viruses/Spyware? In Safemode?

Not all running at the same time I hope ?

That card should be able to run everything at 1280 x 1024 no problem.

Update drivers:

Video card to 93.71,

Chipset drivers (you need to find your m/board make and model to do this)

Defragged lately?

Haha, never have them running while playing,
Yes, I am using the recent drivers for my card.
Download speeds, yes.. Haven't changed.
Router.
Have checked for virus/spyware.
And I have defragged lately.
I'll double check, maybe I don't have the most recent video card/m board drivers.

I also am considering buying a new pc, my friend needs one anyway so I think I'll sell him mine (uses it for papers and such)

Which do you think would be better?
From what I do know, Both of these have better specs than the pc I have at the moment.
Except maybe RAM and Harddrive, But I can just take a gig of RAM from this pc.

Dunno about that card, is it any good?

Card on that rig is better than mine, is it?

Thanks.

spysweeper seems to be the problem to me. get rid of it, it uses memory like no tomorrow. You need at least 256MB of FREE memory to run it decently otherwise it will slow everything else down. Get rid of it and download AVG antispyware (you get the premium edition free for 30 days) it's really light on memory (uses about 10-15MB of memory which is incredibly low for an antispyware app.) and it detects just as good as spysweeper. Since they upgraded to version 5 I noticed definite lag on my PC with just about the same specs as yours and i just said screw this and didn't even renew the subscription and uninstalled it for good.

Thanks for the imput on spysweeper, I'll try out AVG, see if I notice any differences.
