Can I move A HD to a new motherboard and keep my files? That is what i tried to do but every time i try to boot it says, Windows could not boot properly this could be due to a recent hardware change, Ect.

If the hard drive is set as a slave, or the new motherboard has virtualy identical chipsets then yes. Otherwise it is very rare to bring it over and have it work flawlessly.

Yes, you can. You just need to do a Windows repair. Put the hard drive in the new computer, and put the Windows CD in.

Ah, didn't think about the repair installation. Now that you mention it, there is really no reason why that wouldn't work.

How do i boot a CD from the black screen with white text?

Just put in the CD, and reboot it. It'll work, trust me.

you might need to set the bios to boot from cd

you need to press any key to load the cd when it says lol. if you have a usb keyboard this may not work so you need to try ps/2
