Hey guys, I am building a mid grade computer and I have a budget of $600-ish.

I need a mother board with built in sound and video since I won't be doing anything special with these. No need for a PCI-e slot or anything.

I already have the monitor/mouse/keyboard

In addition to those, here is what I have so far....

Corsair PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...=computer_power_supply-_-17-139-012-_-Product

Intel i3 CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115221&cm_re=core_i3-_-19-115-221-_-Product

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...puter_cases_full_tower-_-11-103-026-_-Product

3 GIGS Corsair RAM PC3 12800 3 channel (A motherboard that supports 3 channel ram would be prefered.): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145225

Caviar Black 500gig hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...=False&VendorMark=&Keywords=(keywords)&Page=2

I need a great mother board that will support all of this, but is not too much for the purpose. And I prefer GIGABYTE since I have never had an issue with them.

Can you guys help me out? Thanks a ton!

First, triple channel want work in a 1156 platform, its dual channel.the i3 is a 1156 CPU.I can save you some $ to invest in a video card.

cpu/psu-(http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.470669) Savings=$56.00
Case-(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133179) Savings=$59.99
HDD(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185) +$5.00 for 500 more gigs.
Motherboard-(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186190) I would get a better board with no onboard video and get a video card.
Motherboard without onboard video-(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130292)
Memory-(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227503) Saving=$10.00

Total Savings $121

I would seriously think about a video card if you plan on playing any games.here's one that i recommend-(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130562) $199.99, all you need is $79.99(with the savings) and your good to go_Oh and the motherboard has onboard video and sound.

GL.

He said he wanted an onboard video/audio.The board you pick has no onboard video.

Thank you AMD....

Guys please read the Original post carefully before making suggestions.

I will look at your suggestions, and I thank you for them, but I NEED on board video and audio. The friend I am building this for has NO INTEREST in video games or sound production at all. I am hoping to save him some money there.

Also I would prefer GIGABYTE as the mobo, or at least a reputable manufacturer.

Sorry to be picky...

Thanks.
