Need help with a virus/trojan...

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with a virus on it. I had Sophos anti virus installed on it from my school which requires you to put anti virus on there before you can use there "laptop drops". Now for example when Im on youtube and type in " prank calls " my browser will automatically redirect to google with a search of "trannies" or "hot girls" or something just off the wall random like that. It wont even let me install AVG anti virus.

Is there a anti virus checker/remover online I could go to and see whats wrong with it?

OK on the TrendMicro...I got all the way to 30secs remaining on the scan and my internet browser just automatically closed. I tried on Internet and firefox browsers...Ill try the other 2 you mentioned
