Need help with speaker setup on my pc!!!

I connected my home speakers to my computer by using the aux port on my home council and connecting it to my sound card with a simple 2 male cord. i want to connect my pc speakers also, so i bought a 1 male 2 female cord. i connected the male cord into my sound card and connected my home speakers into one of the female ports and the pc speakers into the other one. now when i play music, the music only comes out of the 2 left speakers.

HOW DO I GET ALL 4 OF THE SPEAKERS TO WORK!!!???

Well if you are listening to music then music is only recorded in stereo (L and R)

There is probably a setting on your receiver to emulate 5.1 sound.

Try a song that played with both speakers...

maybe you used a mono(only 2 bands around the plug, not the normal 3) male->2 female, and the right channel is shorting out to ground.
