Need Help Sound Card & speakers

I installed the sound card cd and the speakers but when i try to play music etc. it wont work the only thing that works is when i click into the master volume and click "Music 5.1"

My speakers are Logitech X-540
And my sound card is an Diamond Xtream Sound 5.1/16 bit Sound Card

is device manager recognizing it and saying that it works etc?

i dont exactly understand whats going on here, you click music 5.1 and it works, why not leave that ticked in the sound options then?
