Yeah, never buy some cheapy $30 PSU. Mine was $80, took a lot to convince my dad I need it, but now that he understands the risk of going cheap on PSUs, we never get any PSU cheaper than $50 (unless it's on sale or something)

Well, just because it's from newegg doesn't mean it's a good product. It just means that in all likely hood it will be sent to you on time and un-damaged. The company it's self is who you should pay attention to..

The only PSU I would even consider on newegg for such a low price is this one:

Cooler master makes pretty decent PSUs.

well if you really want a rosewill, you can go for it, they are a rather reputable company, but i would still go with aspire or antec.

Does this PSU have a 12v graphics card power connector? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182015
And can someone explain what the SATA connectors are used for?

SATA connectors are for the hard drives, yeah i think this powersupply has a gfx card power connector. i really wouldn't skimp out on the psu and just pay 30 dollars though. alot of people don't understand how important a safe and reliable psu is.

Can someone or kchi55 suggest a PSU i should buy. I can prolly get one up to 50$ maybe. I need a 450-500W 24 main connector pin. Is the 12v graphics card power connector the same as a PCI-E connector? This PSU,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153023
has 500W, a PCI-E connector, and 20+4 pin main connector. Anyone know if this is a good PSU and if the company is reliable? The video card i want is
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131318
which just says requires a "PCI Express compatible system with a specialized 12v graphics card power connector." The PCI Express compatible system probably means compatibility with my motherboard and stuff. Someone PLZ reply

thxxxx
