well my quad core is on its way, but i need a PSU to go with it i'm thinking a 650watt would be good, here are the specs

proc: Q6600
RAM: 2gigs(going to be 4 after a while) of PC2-5300
HDD: 250gig 7200RPM
VID: 8600GT core clock at 540MHZ; 512MB 128 bit DDR3 memory
BOARD: Intel® Desktop Board DG33TL Media Series
OS: Vista
Optical Drives: DVD burner, CD burner
PSU: ???

What would work with this build how many watts do i need to get?

id get one from zalman or rosewilll

the 650watt rosewill sucks. i have it, and im on my 3rd one, the last 2 have been the victim of the my 8800GTS. although the latest PSU seems to be holding up very nice, im pleased with the 3rd one

I think we have a 650W from BFG in stock at work... But that 8600 isn't too demanding. All it requires is a 400. Ayotte has had one of our 550's running his 8800 and he says it's pretty solid.

As long as it's 450-500W up and is from a good brand (hiper, corsair, or get a pc power and cooling if you want a very reliable PSU) then you'll be fine.
