Default Need help with my computer

>>>>>Please look at the image first before replying>>>>>>>

Okay so the story begins as I was playing on the computer, I was playing a online game called ROBLOX. So i find a game i really wanted to play and all of suddenly these lines all of suddenly come out of no where like grayish lines, i restarted the computer but the lines still would not go away so i booted it up into safe mode only to make it worse. I been having this problem for the past months and i need to make sure this computer will work agian. I cant stand the one im using right now

It certainly does look like the video card is shot but can a monitor do that as well?

If the port was faulty or the monitor itself..

The first thing I would do is to try it with a different monitor to eliminate that possibility. If it still does that using a different monitor, then I would suspect your video card, or the cable. You have checked that the cable is plugged in securely, right?
