How do I install windows 98 or linux on a laptop that doesnt have a cd rom drive?

Network share or external CD-ROM. Or you can install the hard drive with the adapter in another computer and copy the Win98 folder to the hard drive. Copies all files needed for setup and doesn't require CD-ROM for driver or configuration changes.
