Need help deciding between 2 laptops.

I know alot about Desktops but when it comes to laptops i have no clue. Which of these laptops would be better?

Compaq Presario CQ60-409CA

I have no clue the difference between the cpu's or gpu's and they hard to find comparison charts online. I just know the compaq comes with vista premium and acer comes with vista basic. Also which of these would produce less heat and more battery life. If anyone knows the answers to these, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why? Compaq and HP have a better reputation for not failing. Acer still needs to work out some things on their tech support side as well as QA.

Windows 7 Free upgrade should also come with the Compaq because it is Windows Vista Home Premium, Basic does not support this.

The Compaq AMD Athlonâ„¢ X2 QL-64 is 2.1ghz and the Acer is only 1.6ghz so for the same price you are getting a better computer, higher clock speed, and many other features.

Are those 2 clock speeds on same level? Like say sempron vs athlon, 1.6GHZ athlon is faster than a 2.1GHZ sempron. Is that the case here with the QL and TK? or are they on same level?

Also I can't really find specs for comparisons of the two GPU's but is the Geforce 8200M better than the ATI xpress 1200

Is this laptop head and shoulders above these 2 laptops? It is $100 more on sale.
