Hey,
I'm heading to university next year and I'm looking for a laptop that can handle a little bit of gaming on the side. The most demanding game I would imagine I would be playing is Battlefield 2.

I've come across 2 pretty good laptops and they're both pretty similar, I just need help deciding which one to pick.

Here they are:

Hi, I took a look at your 2 laptop choices, for one I would not go with Acer just because of their technical support alone. Any particular reason you picked such a large screen? The HP out of those two would be your best bet although there are many other brands out there like Asus that could fit your needs.

(more cost effective, smaller for school, better warranty, ASUS laptops are some of the best laptops I have ever worked with)

here are the system requirements for battlefield 2: http://www.ultimate-gamer.com/bf2/bf2.htm

this ones really good but its pretty expensive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220538

or try this one (a little cheaper and in top 5 gaming laptops but baad resolution): http://computershopper.com/laptops/reviews/ibuypower-battalion-101-cz-9-ultra

i would go with this one: http://www.alienware.com/products/m17-notebook.aspx?SysCode=PC-LT-M17&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT (go with this one)

lol alienware

i think everyone on this forum agrees their stuff is ridiculously overpriced;)

I would go with the Acer. It uses DDR3 memory, and has the same graphics as the HP but with a slightly slower CPU and a larger screen. It's cheaper too.
