Default Choosing a Cd/DVD Burner, or Driver.. I dunno. Please help.

Hey,

I'm building my first computer and need a good CD/DVD drive see, I dont understand which is which, can a DvD burner also play CD's and Dvd's? I mean I would also want to burn things but I dont understand what I'm trying to buy. I am building this computer to be a gaming comp, and need a dvd/cd driver that plays games well as well as burns Cd's and DvD's. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!
-Chris
