Need Help

oh and btw i dont use speakers as i like to talk on teamspeak while playing games so i just use a headset i bought

and im usally on my comp at night time so headset is much better then speakers

Right, so you'd only ever need Stereo?

In that case, it'll be alot cheaper probably to get a sound card that has 4.1, so you have a bit of upgradeability. Heck, if I can find a very cheap 5.1 sound card, it won't be bad, for the future.

As for that driver disk, I'm not sure. I'll go search!

yer ill buy a soundcard when i go to buy more RAM but i dunno what kinda RAM to buy :D

im kinda new at comps i really only know how to play/install games lol

Well, try this:

http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/drivers/80/80131.htm

You'll need to register, but its free, and should be quick.

Then just, while on Add Hardware, find that file once it asks for it.

If that doesn't work, defineitly go for the new Sound Card approach.

I'll do a search while you are downloading and trying.

SOUND CARD:

This seems like your best bet:

Creative is always the best soloution for sound nowadays, and plus its Audigy, so is reletively new for the games stand point.

Plus, not a bad price. I'm sure you will agree. Just make sure you keep the driver CD kept in a safe place this time :p

RAM:

Trying to hit two birds with one stone, your motherboard supports this type of RAM:

3 x 184-pin DDR DIMM Sockets.
Support max 3GB PC2700/PC2100/PC1600 non-ECC DDR SDRAM memory

So, I'd go for PC2700 speed which is the fastest it supports, and should be very cheap nowadays.

How much RAM have you got at the moment?
