Need Advice On LCD TV's For CPU Monitors

I was thinking of getting a 27" INCH widescreen lcd for a computer monitor, are all lcd tv's 16 ms response time?, my friend was playing half life 2 on this prima 27" widescreen and it didnt look like it was fking up.

I Dont wanna spend over a grand (Before tax, CDN), but yeh iunno if its good, i could get the gateway 21" lcd widescreen 8 ms for like 750 $, but for like another 200 $, 27inch "tv" wouldnt be bad, so i need advice.

I wouldn't use a regular tv....the resolution is crappy, you won't be able to read text on it. Dell is having some very good sales right now. A friend of mine is going to be ordering the 37 inch LCD tv from them.
