Default Need advice on gaming & editing rig

Hey all!

Okay so I'm new to the world of custom building and hardware but I have a guy who quoted me for a build and I wanted to get a second opinion, not that I don't trust him, I just value your opinions.

I will be using it for gaming and for video and photo editing although I will not being rushing through a lot of video and photo on a daily basis in absurd amounts but I will be putting together shorts and what not and just want something to handle it smoothly while being able to multitask and game when i want.

Power Supply: 430 Watt PSU 80 Plus Certified
Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 965 Quad Core Processor @ 3.4GHz
Motherboard: MSI 890FXA-GD65 with USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0Gb/s (no i/o shield)
Memory: 8GB 1333 MHz (4gb x 2)
Hard Drive: 500GB 7200 RPM
DVD Drive: DVD Reader/Writer SATA
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6670 1GB GDDR5

$475 for this system

EDIT: I also found this. It's $100 more but is it worth it? or should i just spend the difference elsewhere.

BRAND NEW HIGH PERFORMANCE DESKTOP Quadcore AMD, 8GM ram, 1TB HD, ATI

Thanks in advance!

Shawn

that is a very low budget for a gaming rig. 475$
i'll personally on a budget get a ivy bridge core i3 and a 6850 graphic card.
is that something you can afford?

The FX proccessors are very powerful, I have one myself. My suggestion would to be to get the 6100 to save a few dollars, trim your ram down to maybe 6 gb and use that money to invest in your graphics card.

Rule #1: Put as much money as you possibly can into your graphics card
