my speakers wont work

my speakers wont work. there on max volume, green light is on. i dont no wat to do, and all fo the settings are max, none mute. im getting angry

yep, all of the connections are in, and i have no idea what corroded means

Did you just reformat, install Windows, or anything like that?

oh, its a new computer. ive only had it for like 2 months, and iive checkd the speakers on my walkman, and they work, so i dont know whats happening

Perhaps reinstall your sound card drivers.

What kind of soundcard do you have? Soundblaster Live!, Audigy 2 Value, Audigy 2 Gamer, etc?

i dont hava sound card, its just integrated sound

Make sure you get that motherboard utlity CD out because the sound drivers are on there. You can manually select the drivers on the CD and it will install it for you.
