Is my Ram worth an upgrade????

So I thought my RAM was decent in mt laptop but now i'm not so sure. I would love some help.

It's DDR3 and 8GB (2 X 4). I ran CPUID and it's showing 665.2 MHz. My motherboard is Acer JE50_HR with a I7 2670QM processor.

Some of the ram I have found are as follows, will any of these be a significant improvement?

HyperX PnP 8GB DDR3-1866MHz SODIMM Dual Channel Kit (2 x 4GB)

Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz SODIMM Kit (2 x 4GB)

That's DDR3 1333. You probably wouldn't see any difference if you changed it.

I'm confused, where did you get the 1333?

You said CPUID is showing 665.2MHz. The 1333 in DDR3-1333 is the amount of MT/s or mega-transfers per second. Since it is double data rate, there are two transfers per clock cycle.

Therefore DDR3-1600 would have a memory clock of 800MHz and DDR3-1866 would operate at 933MHz.

When you consider that the integrated memory controller in the i7 operates at 1600MT/s, going with DDR3-1866 would be a waste since you wouldn't be able to overclock the laptop.

The difference between DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1600 is negligible. I say stick with what you have.
