My ram is running at 266 mhz?

yep that ram is going to stay where it is, and its not your ram thats getting you low frames in CS what graphics card do you have

Depending on his GPU, an FPS drop from slower speed RAM can occur. Slower RAM speed can be a bottleneck.

I bought a new 1gb of DDR2 R.A.M today, and when i checked in CPU-Z it says it is running at 266mhz , why is this?

BTW, my mobo is an ASUS p5vdc-MX

DDR2 "566mhz" runs at 266mhz. Similar to the way your "1066mhz" FSB is actually 266mhz

could be your CPU have you overclocked or underclocked you cpu???


and DDR2 ram actualy doubled your mhz do 250mhz would actually be 500.
