My new computer freezes at "Verifying DMI Pool Data"

I have a Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 200gb hard drive but I can't format it. Every part is brand new.
To make sure it isnt a hardware issue, try formatting it with any linux LiveCD. (Google 'ubuntu', download it, burn it to CD as an .iso and boot off of it.)

I can't format it cuz i cant get to that screen. It just kind of freezes at "Verifying DMI Pool Data"

What screen? Is it in windows install startup? is it just before you are about to boot off a CD? Is it in startup?

I cant help you until you specify where it says that.:)

A few seconds after I turn the computer on, it goes past the raid utility (hit f4) screen and then loads the IRQ numbers and it loads the the DMI pool data but it never loads.

Yeah that happens to my extra computer sometimes, try unplugging the power cord, wait a few seconds and try again.

It's a BIOS issue.

If its a BIOS issue don't forget to take the motherboard battery out as well so it will restart the BIOS.
