Any chance you could bump up to a 955 BE?

As for the case, you guessed it, Lian-Li! Great build quality, but you're probably gonna think it's too plain: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112099

Heatsink, I suggest a little upgrade: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233003

None of this stuff is a big deal. The case is a preference thing for me, and the cooler matters if you plan on overclocking.

I've already gone about $100 over my original budget as it is. But believe me Cabbs, if I could do more, I would. I'm also a little limited because of my 550 Watt PSU.

550 watt PSU? As long as you have some amps on the 12V+ rail, you won't be pushing it.

That is a DDR3 board, the 940 does not have a DDR3 memory controller. You need to either go with a DDR2 board (There's difference in performance) or go with an AM3 CPU such as the 955.
The 955 will also work on a DDR2 board as it has a DDR2 and DDR3 memory controller. Perhaps 955 + DDR2 790GX + 2x2GB DDR2 1066?

My sisters like to play the older Freddie Fish kind of games from the windows 98 era. I'm going to partition the hard drive and put Windows 7 RC on a larger part of it to run newer apps.
