Is my idle/max temp good?

When Idleing I get about 42C (thats with Everest Home open and This) and at max load i get up to about 48 tops. And if anyones used ATI tool here before im at 400/340 on my 9800 pro, not a big jump at all, but will overclocking your video card contribute to higher temps on your cpu??

42C is alright. Maybe it's your desktop, but I get 38C, but maybe it's because where I live... lol... yeah, I use ati tool. It'll contribute to some heat just because of the amount of cooling your fan will need to do, and the gpu will get hot, so yeah, it'll do some heating, although, if you oc in a medium manner, (like not going overboard or extremem) that it won't make your computer a stove.

I have a mobile 2500+ barton at 2.1ghz so that is probably where we get our temp difference

Yeah, labtop's are often a lot hotter... I've seen some high-performance labtop's with hand rest's of 115C! You could seriously fry an egg with that temp...
