Default my cpu temp

hi, i'm just wondering if anyone knows but what is the average temp of my cpu? it is an AMD Phenom II x4 955 3.2ghz (ive OCed it to a stable 3.6ghz)

so, any suggestions?

~40C average under load.

Max it can get to is 62.

Personally, I cut it at 50C. If it's past that in prime95, I consider it too hot.

I don't know about Phenom II's, but for the most part anything under 70 is safe...

Phenom II's don't like being very hot.

I keep it icy chill because losing a CPU really isn't worth it for bragging rights/5% performance gain.

I'm not saying I would push it, but some processors will be hotter then others, and they are rated well above 62c if I recall correctly.

AMD says 62C is max safe operating temperature, and that is where most people cut it.

I cut at 54 with stock cooler.
52 is top SAFE one for me.
31-25 is idle for me.
