Question is my comp good enough to play half-life 2??

Please tell me if this setup is a good choice to use to play Half-life 2.

Processor:[939-pin] AMD® Athlon-64 3500+ CPU w/ Hyper Transport Technology

Power supply:420watts

Graphics card:[PCI-Express 16x]Nvidia geforce 6600 256mb

Motherboard:Foxconn WinFast NF4K8MC-ERS nVidia nForce4 Chipset w/LAN,5.1 Sound,IEEE-1394,USB 2.0 PCI-E Motherboard

RAM:1024mb {512x2} DDR-400 PC3200

Harddrive:Seagate 80gb [S-ATA] 7200rpm 8mb Cache

Optical Drive:16X Dual Format/Double Layer DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW Drive

SoundCard:3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard

Yes but you could upgrade the video card to a 6600GT its much better bang for your buck.

Did you just customize that? Yeah that'll definately be able to handle half-life 2 or anything on par with the source engine for that matter. From what I've heard the Foxconn motherboards are for low-budget machines, try and get an Asus Nforce4.

Yeah, it should play it just fine. I have my x800 playing it at highest settings (128x1040) and I have no lag and it runs perfect (i've overclocked, of course, but still)

The 6600 core isn't the best at HL2. HL2 was designed for ATI chips' architectures. But it will play fine.

Yea it will. I got my BF2 demo on high and it runs as smooth as a whistle.
