Can I get 2 dual dd3 which makes it 4 cards total of 8gb. Because that will cost around 150 while the triple card cost around 180-200

Any other suggestions or changes you would make? Thanks for all the help guys this will be my first custom computer. Very much appreciated.

So now I'm really interested in figuring out what the difference would be in a numerical form. And what it looks like is that it depends on what kind of work load you are going to give your computer. If you are going to be doing processor heavy tasks the triple channel doesn't matter as much but if you are doing something that requires a large amount of memory then the triple channel allows you to split up the load to make it flow easier.

Heres a good article:http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/1...y_analysis_can_dual_channel_cut_it/index.html

Basically its saying that right now if you don't have the money for triple channel the dual channel is fine but it seems that maybe the next line of processors (speculation) will put more stress on the memory.

Looks pretty good, did you decide to drop the Blu-ray player?

I will be using this for mostly gaming/hw/online browsing. But I can spend a little more so that I don't need to upgrade right away.

But if it will make my computer run more smoothly I wouldn't mind spending 100-200 more, If it will be a huge difference.

Still undecided on which motherboard I'm getting but how is the Combo? its only 460 which price wise is very good. But how does that P6T perform against the P6X58D Premium or P6X58D-E?

niice, i always prefer the 216 to the 192 core gtx 260s, but just to let you know, it shoudltn affect anything but the gtx 260s are no longer in production

So what video card would you guys suggest going be using it for some gaming. Keep it around 200 please?

I'm going drop the Blu-ray player for now. I can always upgrade that later when I save some more money. Right now I have a Ps3 and a 5.1 speaker set up with a large TV. I will eventually upgrade to wide screen and maybe a blu-ray player when I get some more funds.

Thanks Rakuma for the good read, might get the dual for now and save 125. I can always upgrade later. If i can stretch my budget, I might go for the tri ch dual

I have a 5770 ATI card that im very happy with and you can get it for around 150-165. Its a good solid card.

Also with the video set up you have now if its with in sight of your comp I wouldn't be to worried about the blu-ray player/burner less you have some specific use for it.
