My 9800xt 256mb clock speeds! need help!

hi, when i got my 9800xt, the performance dident seem to be cutting
battlefield 2 too good. My friend has a 9800pro 256mb and he gets 40+ fps
i have 2.93ghz P4
1024mb 4200ram
200gb drive
I want my card to run like it should, i saw 9800xt specs with 500/420, HOW COME I CANT?

thats what my max clock speeds are, plz help.

do you have stock cooling on it? if you do then your not going to get anywhere near that.

well, yes i have stock cooling, but i think my stock cooling is good...? is there any programs that tell u how hot ur gpu gets?

try the software that came with the vid card.

And as for increasing the clock speeds:
Better cooling
More voltage

And if ur psu is on it's limits then it will prevent u from oc'ing more.
