music file loss

it sucks. full stop, and now ive lost aload of music that i have basically paid for for going over the limit.

I had a thought but it can't be if you mean a downloader like Kazaa or something.

I thoguht you might have meant from the internet with media, in which case I thought it could have been because of the Tempory Internet Files deleting from temp and thats why they went when it shut off.

You'll just have to be more careful, though I don't understand how it restarting could have deleted everything from that one folder... and why it crashed

it appears that my firewall had shut down (it appeared to have corrupted files). The firewall has now been restored, could this lack of protection for my computer allow others to steal data from it?

I don't think people would have hacked, copied your files and deleted them...
But it is possible people could have hacked onto your machine in that time, yes
