Smile Multiple motherboards

I was wondering is it possible to have 2 motherboards operate as 1 computer, and if possible how would it be done. I know dont know anything other than basic information about hardware, but i thought i could use the IDE cables and connect the 2 motherboards and write code to use one motherboard as a drive, but im not sure that would work because i thought the IDE slot on a motherboard primarily acts as output and I think, if it worked, doing that wouldn't produce anything fast or powerful. I researched clustering but all information on that only applies to two different computers. I'm willing to put in the time, effort and money(jobless 15 year old's budget of $80) if it's only a matter of hardware setup and coding, if its not doable by regular means would it be possible is the hardware was modified.

thanks

I am not understanding what you are trying to accomplish. Could you please restate this in a simpler explanation?

But what would be the point? To use a different chipset?
