Default Multiple HDD help

Hello, I am getting a new PC and I have a few questions.

I am getting it with a pre-formatted 2TB HDD from ibuypower (I would have built it myself but when I priced it out it was about the same anyway). I am going to add a 500GB SSD and I want to have the OS on the SSD, if I have the HDD and the SSD in the computer and install windows, which one will it install to by default? How do I know?

What I want:

Have windows on the SSD
Have everything else default to the HDD

I will of course put games and things on the SSD but I would like them to install to the HDD by default, can I do this? Also after I have windows installed can I put the HDD from my old computer to the new one and transfer the files over? Or will it format it when I put it in?

Old computer used windows 7 ultimate with an intel CPU

New computer will use windows 7 professional with AMD CPU

Default Re: Multiple HDD help

when you are about to install windows 7 it asks you which hdd you want to install it on. you will then choose the SSD.
