Default MSN Messenger Registry entries?

A friend of mine is having problems installing MSN Messenger because they manually deleted the installation files or something (and now they want it back). Anyway, I can't reinstall nor delete...because it doesn't appear anywhere in program files, and isn't present in add or remove programs.

I'm thinking I have to manually purge the registry of any entries for MSN Messenger...however, simply deleted the registry folder for "MSN Messenger" doesn't solve the problem- does anyone know where I can get a complete list of the registry keys that MSN Messenger creates?

BTW, the message I get when I attempt to install it is:

"Your computer already has the newest version of MSN Messenger installed"

Thanks for any help.....
