Default msn glitch

anyone know y my msn sound for the somebody is talking to u. mine keeps cutting out and just making a du.... sound instead of the usual one. any ideas?

probably the file is corrupt or something. Reinstalling should fix it.

Might just be your processor is too busy to handle the sound fully when its doing something else.

I'm guessing its on board sound, and not dedicated? I.e, the sound chips on the motherboard?
