When i go into msconfig from the run box and check my startup items, I have about 10 items checked off that i want to run at startup, and there are about 10 or so other items listed which I have unchecked which I do not want to run. Is there anyway to remove these unchecked items from the list so they don't even show up there anymore? Many of them are duplicate entries which I already have checked off to run.

i got rid of the duplicate entries..i first had to enable all of them to start up, then i went into my mcafee which had a registry cleaner in it for duplicate entries or entries that go nowhere (i guess mcafee wasn't picking up the disabled entries because they were disabled), and i ran that.....after a reboot, all the duplicate entries were gone...hope this info helps someone else who may also be trying to get rid of duplicate entries.

ive got them from ages ago. it doesnt bother me really. as long as all the crap ones are unticked its fine :)
