Smile MPEG-2 help

When I create and export a video clip as MPEG-2 the Default Video Bit Rate is 1500

Now I know the Higher the Bit Rate the Better the Video and Bigger the Video Size.
But what is the MAX Bit Rate you can set MPEG-2 at???

Say I don't want to loss any Video Qwality?
Thanks

I found this wiki page that may help:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG-2

It mentions quite a bit about the format/constraints

This goes way in depth

http://bmrc.berkeley.edu/research/mp...8/faq_v38.html

what what you could also do is go into the setting and just see what the highest bit rate it will let you set. what software are you using?

Smile Re: MPEG-2 help

I do a Lot of Video Edditing and I am taking video clips from DVDs I own.

I am useing WinX DVD Ripper to convert the VOB Files to MPEG-2 Format and the Video Bit Rate is set to 15000 kbps

But you can set it to whatever you want.
These DVDs are of the Simpsons TV Show and I am taking clips from them.

So I would like the Video to be as good as it can be.

What souls I have the Bit Rate set to what is the MAX for mpeg-2??

It can go very very high I don't know what is best for me I don't want to loss any video or audio qwulity.

Maybe there isn't a direct limit on many new DVD players, up to a point.

For example, I have a DVD, called Animusic, which uses a very high bitrate, since its not that long, but warned that some DVD players may not take the bitrate very well.

If you want to fit a lot of epsiodes, you'll want to compress it down quite a bit, unless you only want to fit a few on a disc.
