Moving GIGS of Files

I'll probably be reinstall Vista later today so I want to make a new partition to copy all my stuff on, then I'm gonna copy all my important stuff to it, which is more than 30GB of stuff.

I saw somewhere of an app that is perfect for moving tons of files at maximum speed and it was freeware. Anyone know of anything like this?
