Movie editing software

What would you guys recommend for a movie editing program? What is your opinion on Adobe Premier Pro? Or any other programs that is interesting? I need something more powerful than Windows Movie Maker.

Premiere Pro, if you can handel it ;P I use premiere 6.5 and it's wonderful. I've tinkered with Prem. Pro a little bit, but my video computer can't really use it(plus it requires XP and I still run 2000 on it...)

Really, you should be fine with 6.5 or Prem Pro... right off, I didn't see too many major differences between them.
