Default Mouse wheel troubles

Welps, I went to the thrift store to go get me a new mouse (big ballin!), I bring it home and it works great in kubuntu. I then have to boot into xp and it still works great but for some reason the scroll wheel doesn't work. I figured it was some setting in Control Panel>Mouse but I couldn't get it to work. I didn't think I needed to install drivers for a regular ps/2 mouse but if I do let me know.

It is the same exact mouse as this one if it helps any.

That's VERY Strange if it works on Linux but not in XP?

You Could try going into the Control panel and Uninstalling the Mouse and then restarting and then see if that works?

Maybe Try This?

It can't hurt to install the drivers.

Nevermind, I restarted and it works now for some mysterious reason. Thanks for the replies.
