I have an HP 6735s laptop with Vista HP, fully patched. It has a Synaptics touchpad and the cursor is dancing all over the screen without even touching the touchpad. I've tried plugging in a USB mouse and it works, but after a reboot, it goes back to the dancing cursor, even with the mouse plugged in.
I've uninstalled the Synaptics touchpad and reinstalled with the latest drivers from synaptics.com but it hasn't made any difference.
Prior to the most recent reboot, both it and the USB mouse were working fine so I did another reboot just to make sure, and it's back to dancing again.
Any ideas?
