Mouse/Keyboard for Simple Gaming

I have a computer that I am gonna start playing a few games on. I have a wireless mouse and keyboard.

Will it be better to get a wired keyboard and mouse. It seems that my response times are a little slower than some of the people that I play against.

I know to get a higher DPI.

The game I will be playing the most is Battlefield 2142 and maye a few racing games. Thanks for any input you may be able to provide.

Plus I hate having to change the batts in the mouse. They always tend to go weak at the wrong times.

Something like a Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000 and Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard would do the trick without getting too expensive.

Lots of people says it is great for people with larger hands.

I also found it for only $22 from another seller brand-new. Not $50 like on this page.

well i see that you are willing to spend $50.00 on a mouse, so i gather about the same price for a GOOD keyboard you won't mind paying, so i'd like to recommend the G15.

Its abit pricey...but trust me, i have this keyboard...and it was SO worth the money without doubt.

Logitech G5. It's a great mouse. You get 2000 DPI for about $50.00. It's the one I have. It's great for medium to large size hands and comes with a weight set. You can adjust the weight for more response or accuracy.
