Default mouse and keyboard install

when i buy all the parts and build a pc, after everything is ready to go, for installing keyboard and mouse for the 1st time, do i just plug it in the computer and is ready to use ?
the mouse and keyboard is both ps/2 type.

just plug it in, some of them come with drivers and you just install those after you install display / sound / etc drivers.

PS2 keyboards..just plug in, off you go..

Only keyboards with extra multimedia buttons come with drivers, the rest, it's just plug and play..

Always get PS2 keyboards, with some USB ones, you cant use them to get into the BIOS etc..

You can if you use usb to ps/2 adapters like my Logitech keyboard and mouse came with.
