Mouse keeps freezing! please help

just re-installed vista, so its no software conflicts thats the problem.

just having a look at the device manager and acceleration.

no such luck with any of these solutions.

vista re-installed (all software gone so no problems there)
drivers fine etc.
hardware acceleration change didnt work.
cant see anything wrong in device manager.

no idea what to do now. computer cost me about 700 to build dont fancy changing it now lol.

any other suggestions?

mouse works fine. tried and tested on other comps.

apparently its the usb ports, none of them recognise mice :S hmmmm wierd.


using a ps2 optical mouse now, seems to be working nice.

so anyways thanks for the help guys, as with everything these days, a load of hassle for something simple!!
