Default Motherboard upgrade. Help plz!

Hello!

There is a rather old computer (three years old) and there is IDE HDD, PCI VIDEO (RADEON 9600Pro) Pentium IV Processor, DDR2 (how to know more exactly?). This all is based on ASUS P4-R800VM motherboard.

The question is: What motherboard is able to be used with all that scrap metal, and allow some further upgrade (SATA HDD, more powerful Processor, etc...)

I need a model, please suggest!

Thankl you!

Do you want a motherboard thats going to work with that P4 or are you going to upgrade the CPU at the same time?

Is your current motherboard broken?

like crappybob said, are you going to be sticking with that P4 or are you getting a dual-core or quad anytime soon? its all dependant really.

well none the less...here is a good board that you could get.

and its future proof...supports sata and current LGA775 socket procesors.
