Default Motherboard Upgrade

I have a Gigabyte GA-7VKML motherboard.
I want to upgrade it but have no idea what to get.
Can anyone help with suggestions

how often do u plan to upgrade.

I have just purchased an AMD XP 2400 processor.
I don't intend to upgrade for a while
It depends on what they cost

i'd say if you're looking for a future proofed for a while on the cheaper end of the market, get one of these
takes upto 400fsb processors and has ATA.
