too expensive, an SCSI hard drive is four times the price of a SATA of the same size and SCSI controllers aren't cheap either.

They are about the same price as the latest graphics card. I still think people will have them.

what people will pay about 250 for a 76GB when they can get a good 80GB for about 60 ? I don't think so, especially when you also have to buy a card for about 50 and on an most PCs you wont really notice most difference in performance (unless you defrag it, or do video captures and stuff)
