Motherboard Repl ?

Hi there. I have a Gateway PC in which I am updating the motherboard. After I do this, will I need to reactivate Vista?

Yes you will need to reinstall Windows XP, unless you know how to mess around with the controllers and crap. I beleive lhuser should know more about that.

Given that your install probably has a Gateway OEM version of Vista I doubt you will even be able to install windows once the new m/board is in your pc unless it is an exact replacement for the original board, either way I believe you'll have to reactivate as Vista will "see" the new board as a major hardware change.
