Default Motherboard Repl ?

Hi there. I have a Gateway PC in which I am updating the motherboard. After I do this, will I need to reactivate Vista?

Yes you will need to reinstall Windows XP, unless you know how to mess around with the controllers and crap. I beleive lhuser should know more about that.

Given that your install probably has a Gateway OEM version of Vista I doubt you will even be able to install windows once the new m/board is in your pc unless it is an exact replacement for the original board, either way I believe you'll have to reactivate as Vista will "see" the new board as a major hardware change.

There is just soooo much wrong with this post it is not funny.

The op was asking about Vista so why reply with "reinstall XP"????

You have no knowledge on the subject what so ever

For someone touting themselves as Moderator material you seem pretty quick to flame noobs and make spam posts, maybe you need to step back and reassess what your aim of belonging to this forum is.
