Motherboard Question

I have been looking for a mobo for my gaming computer and there is a lot of mobos out there that don't have a port to hook up a monitor, so them type of mobos require a video card first off? If so will the computer be able to put out video before you can install the os? This is a brand new computer im putting together. Thanks for any help!!

Yes motherboards that don't have on board video will require a Video card of some kind.

Yes it will output video before the OS is installed. Motherboards have the Generic Drivers to operate the display.

well this is what im going to get so far i think,

Intel i7 930 or 960
at least 8gb of DDR3 ram 1333
win 7 64-bit
not desided on a video card yet

well drop down to 6 and get a 5850 if your budget allows
the asus mob is problay one of the greatest motherboards out personally
but i wouldnt drop that much on a motherboard
